We welcome you to a greener hotel

The Rochester Plaza Hotel and Conference Center is working toward a “greener” hotel in an effort to ensure we strive to do our part in the global effort to save our planet. Research has shown that the waste of energy, natural resources and pollution is harmful to our environment.

This is why the Rochester Plaza Hotel and Conference Center is eager to institute programs to minimize our ecological footprint.

Over the last few months we have begun to conduct an internal review with respect to how we can minimize our pollution, save water, and reduce our energy consumption. We have improved our ongoing recycling programs, enhanced our lighting to ensure that it is energy efficient where possible, and reduced the use of plastic and other non-biodegradable products such as Styrofoam in our effort to minimize our solid waste. We have met with our suppliers and have begun an extensive review and implementation of chemical products that are certified to not damage the environment. These types of initiatives are far reaching and we will continue to monitor our efforts for years to come.

We are committed to do our part and provide the best possible environment to our guests and employees while providing accommodations that we hope will exceed your expectations.
